I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “kept for”.

Exo 16:32 And Moses said,
This is the thing which the LORD commandeth,
Fill an omer of it to be kept for your generations;
that they may see the bread wherewith
I have fed you in the wilderness,
when I brought you forth
from the land of Egypt.
Exo 16:33 And Moses said unto Aaron,
Take a pot,
and put an omer full of manna therein,
and lay it up before the LORD,
to be kept for your generations.
Num 17:10 And the LORD said unto Moses,
Bring Aaron’s rod again before the testimony,
to be kept for a token against the rebels;
and thou shalt quite take away
their murmurings from me,
that they die not.
Num 19:9 And a man that is clean
shall gather up the ashes of the heifer,
and lay them up without the camp in a clean place,
and it shall be kept for the congregation
of the children of Israel
for a water of separation:
it is a purification for sin.
1Sa 9:24 And the cook took up the shoulder,
and that which was upon it,
and set it before Saul. And Samuel said,
Behold that which is left! set it before thee, and eat:
for unto this time hath it been kept for thee since I said,
I have invited the people.
So Saul did eat with Samuel that day.
1Ki 3:6 And Solomon said, Thou hast shewed unto
thy servant David my father great mercy,
according as he walked before thee in truth,
and in righteousness,
and in uprightness of heart with thee;
and thou hast kept for him this great kindness,
that thou hast given him a son
to sit on his throne, as it is this day.
