“eat up” … found ONLY in the Old Testament (KJV)

When the wicked,
even mine enemies and my foes,
came upon me to eat up my flesh,
they stumbled and fell. – Psa 27:2

I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “eat up”.

Gen 41:4 And the ill favoured
and leanfleshed kine
did eat up the seven well favoured
and fat kine.
So Pharaoh awoke.

Gen 41:20 And the lean and the ill favoured kine
did eat up the first seven fat kine:

Num 24:8 God brought him forth out of Egypt;
he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn:
he shall eat up the nations his enemies,
and shall break their bones,
and pierce them through with his arrows.

Psa 14:4 Have all the workers of iniquity
no knowledge?
who eat up my people as they eat bread,
and call not upon the LORD.

Psa 27:2 When the wicked,
even mine enemies and my foes,
came upon me to eat up my flesh,

Psa 53:4 Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge?

and thy lovers shall go into captivity:
surely then shalt thou be ashamed
and confounded for all thy wickedness.

Hos 4:8 They eat up the sin of my people,
and they set their heart on their iniquity.

Amo 7:4 Thus hath the Lord GOD shewed unto me:
and, behold, the Lord GOD called to contend by fire,
and it devoured the great deep,
and did eat up a part.
