I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “lost”.

Mat 5:13 Ye are the salt of the earth:
but if the salt have lost his savour,
wherewith shall it be salted?
it is thenceforth good for nothing,
but to be cast out,
and to be trodden under foot of men.

Mat 10:6 But go rather to
the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Mat 15:24 But he answered and said,
I am not sent but unto
the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Mat 18:11 For the Son of man is come
to save that which was lost.

Mar 9:50 Salt is good:
but if the salt have lost his saltness,
wherewith will ye season it?
Have salt in yourselves,
and have peace one with another.

Luk 14:34 Salt is good:
but if the salt have lost his savour,
wherewith shall it be seasoned?

Luk 15:4 What man of you, having an hundred sheep,
if he lose one of them,
doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness,
and go after that which is lost,
