I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “ lay down”.

Gen 19:4 But before they lay down,
the men of the city,
even the men of Sodom,
compassed the house round,
both old and young,
all the people from every quarter:

Gen 19:33 And they made
their father drink wine that night:
and the firstborn went in,
and lay with her father;
and he perceived not when she lay down,
nor when she arose.

Gen 19:35 And they made
their father drink wine that night also:
and the younger arose,
and lay with him;
and he perceived not when she lay down,
nor when she arose.

Gen 28:11 And he lighted upon a certain place,
and tarried there all night,
because the sun was set;
and he took of the stones of that place,
and put them for his pillows,
and lay down in that place to sleep.
