I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “your righteousness”.

Mat 5:20 For I say unto you,
That except your righteousness shall exceed
the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees,
ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

2Co 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you;
that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things,
may abound to every good work:

2Co 9:9 (As it is written,
He hath dispersed abroad;
he hath given to the poor:
his righteousness remaineth for ever.

2Co 9:10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower
both minister bread for your food,
and multiply your seed sown,
and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)

(((((((Deu-6:25 And it shall be our righteousness,
if we observe to do all these commandments
before the LORD our God,
as he hath commanded us. ))))))
