I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “call upon”.

Gen 4:26 And to Seth, to him also there was born a son;
and he called his name Enos:
then began men to call upon the name of the LORD. יְהֹוָה

Deu 4:7 For what nation is there so great,
who hath God so nigh unto them,
as the LORD our God is in all things
that we call upon him for?

1Ch 16:8 Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name,
make known his deeds among the people.

Job 27:10 Will he delight himself in the Almighty?
will he always call upon God?

Psa 18:3 I will call upon the LORD,
who is worthy to be praised:
so shall I be saved from mine enemies.
