I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “lied unto him”.

1Ki 13:18 He said unto him,
I am a prophet also as thou art;
and an angel spake unto me
by the word of the LORD, saying,
Bring him back with thee into thine house,
that he may eat bread and drink water.
But he lied unto him.

Psa 78:35 And they remembered that
God was their rock,
and the high God their redeemer.

Psa 78:36 Nevertheless they did flatter him
with their mouth,
and they lied unto him
with their tongues.

Psa 78:37 For their heart was not right with him,
neither were they stedfast in his covenant.
