Then washed I thee with water;
yea, I throughly washed away thy blood from thee,
and I anointed thee with oil. – Eze 16:9

I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “anointed thee”.

1Sa 10:1 Then Samuel took a vial of oil,
and poured it upon his head,
and kissed him, and said,
Is it not because the LORD hath anointed thee
to be captain over his inheritance?

1Sa 15:17 And Samuel said,
When thou wast little in thine own sight,
wast thou not made the head of the tribes of Israel,
and the LORD anointed thee king over Israel?

2Sa 12:7 And Nathan said to David,
Thou art the man.
Thus saith the LORD God of Israel,
I anointed thee king over Israel,
and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul;

2Ki 9:3 Then take the box of oil,
and pour it on his head,
and say, Thus saith the LORD,
I have anointed thee king over Israel.
Then open the door,
and flee,
and tarry not.

2Ki 9:6 And he arose,
and went into the house;
and he poured the oil on his head,
and said unto him,
Thus saith the LORD God of Israel,
I have anointed thee king over the people of the LORD,
even over Israel.

2Ki 9:12 And they said, It is false;
tell us now.

I have anointed thee king over Israel.

Psa 45:7 Thou lovest righteousness,
and hatest wickedness:
therefore God, thy God,
hath anointed thee with the oil
of gladness above thy fellows.
