I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “trial”.

Job 9:23 If the scourge slay suddenly,
he will laugh at the trial of the innocent.

2Co 8:2 How that in a great trial of affliction
the abundance of their joy
and their deep poverty abounded
unto the riches of their liberality.

Heb 11:36 And others had trial of cruel mockings
and scourgings,
yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:

37. They were stoned,
they were sawn asunder,
were tempted,
were slain with the sword:
they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins;
being destitute,
afflicted,
tormented;
38. (Of whom the world was not worthy:)
they wandered in deserts,
and in mountains,
and in dens and caves of the earth.

1Pe 1:7 That the trial of your faith,
being much more precious
than of gold that perisheth,
though it be tried with fire,
might be found unto praise and honour

ye rejoice with joy

1Pe 4:12 Beloved, think it not strange
concerning the fiery trial
which is to try you,
as though some strange thing happened unto you:

13. But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings;
that, when his glory shall be revealed,
ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
