I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “garment”.
Job 13:28 And he, as a rotten thing,
consumeth,
as a garment that is moth eaten.
Job 30:18 By the great force of
my disease is my garment changed:
it bindeth me about as the collar of my coat.
Job 37:17 How thy garments are warm,
when he quieteth the earth by the south wind?
Job 38:9 When I made the cloud the garment thereof,
and thick darkness a swaddlingband for it,
Job 38:14 It is turned as clay to the seal;
and they stand as a garment.
Job 41:13 Who can discover the face of his garment?
or who can come to him with his double bridle?
Psa 22:18 They part my garments among them,
and cast lots upon my vesture.
Psa 45:8 All thy garments smell of myrrh,
and aloes,
and cassia,
out of the ivory palaces,
whereby they have made thee glad.
Psa 69:11 I made sackcloth also my garment;
and I became a proverb to them.
Psa 73:6 Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain;
violence covereth them as a garment.
Psa 102:26 They shall perish,
but thou shalt endure: yea,
all of them shall wax old like a garment;
as a vesture shalt thou change them,
and they shall be changed:
Psa 104:2 Who coverest thyself
with light as with a garment:
who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:
Psa 104:6 Thou coveredst it
with the deep as with a garment:
the waters stood above the mountains.
Psa 109:18 As he clothed himself with cursing
like as with his garment,
so let it come into his bowels like water,
and like oil into his bones.
Psa 109:19 Let it be unto him
as the garment which covereth him,
and for a girdle wherewith he is girded continually.
Psa 133:2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head,
that ran down upon the beard,
even Aaron’s beard:
that went down to the skirts of his garments;
Pro 20:16 Take his garment
that is surety for a stranger:
and take a pledge of him for a strange woman.
Pro 25:20 As he that taketh away
a garment in cold weather,
and as vinegar upon nitre,
so is he that singeth songs to an heavy heart.
Pro 27:13 Take his garment
that is surety for a stranger,
and take a pledge of him for a strange woman.
Pro 30:4 Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended?
who hath gathered the wind in his fists?
who hath bound the waters in a garment?
who hath established all the ends of the earth?
what is his name,
and what is his son’s name, if thou canst tell?
Ecc 9:8 Let thy garments be always white;
and let thy head lack no ointment.
