To open the blind eyes,
to bring out the prisoners from the prison,
and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. – Isa 42:7

I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “prison” from  the Old Testament.

Gen 39:22 And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph’s hand
all the prisoners that were in the prison;
and whatsoever they did there,
he was the doer of it.

Gen 39:23 The keeper of the prison looked not to any thing
that was under his hand;
because the LORD was with him,
and that which he did, the LORD made it to prosper.

Jdg 16:21 But the Philistines took him,
and put out his eyes,
and brought him down to Gaza,
and bound him with fetters of brass;
and he did grind in the prison house.

Jdg 16:25 And it came to pass, when their hearts were merry,
that they said, Call for Samson,
that he may make us sport.
And they called for Samson out of the prison house;
and he made them sport: and they set him between the pillars.

2Ki 25:29 And changed his prison garments:
and he did eat bread continually before him all the days of his life.

2Ch 16:10 Then Asa was wroth with the seer,
and put him in a prison house;

and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

in the court of the prison according to the word of the LORD,
and said unto me, Buy my field,
I pray thee, that is in Anathoth,
which is in the country of Benjamin:
for the right of inheritance is thine,
and the redemption is thine;
buy it for thyself.
Then I knew that this was the word of the LORD.

Jer 37:15 Wherefore the princes were wroth with Jeremiah,
and smote him,
and put him in prison in the house of Jonathan the scribe:
for they had made that the prison.

Jer 38:28 So Jeremiah abode in the court of the prison
until the day that Jerusalem was taken:
and he was there when Jerusalem was taken.

Jer 52:11 Then he put out the eyes of Zedekiah;
and the king of Babylon bound him in chains,
and carried him to Babylon,
and put him in prison till the day of his death.

Jer 52:33 And changed his prison garments:
and he did continually eat bread before him
all the days of his life.
