I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “not because”.

1Sa 10:1 Then Samuel took a vial of oil, and poured it upon his head,
and kissed him, and said,
Is it not because the LORD hath anointed thee
to be captain over his inheritance?

2Ki 1:3 But the angel of the LORD said to Elijah the Tishbite,
Arise, go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria,
and say unto them, Is it not because there is not a God in Israel,
that ye go to enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron?

2Ki 1:6 And they said unto him, There came a man up to meet us,
and said unto us, Go, turn again unto the king that sent you,
and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD,
Is it not because there is not a God in Israel,
that thou sendest to enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron?
therefore thou shalt not come down from that bed
on which thou art gone up, but shalt surely die.

2Ki 1:16 And he said unto him, Thus saith the LORD,
Forasmuch as thou hast sent messengers
to enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron,
is it not because there is no God in Israel to enquire of his word?
therefore thou shalt not come down off that bed
on which thou art gone up, but shalt surely die.

Joh 4:42 And said unto the woman,
Now we believe, not because of thy saying:
for we have heard him ourselves,
and know that this is indeed the Christ,
the Saviour of the world.

Joh 6:26 Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you,
Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles,
but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.

Joh 12:30 Jesus answered and said,
This voice came not because of me,
but for your sakes.
