I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “dungeon”.

Gen 40:15 For indeed I was stolen away out of the land of the Hebrews:
and here also have I done nothing
that they should put me into the dungeon.

Gen 41:14 Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph,
and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon:
and he shaved himself,
and changed his raiment,
and came in unto Pharaoh.

Exo 12:29 And it came to pass,
that at midnight the LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt,
from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne
unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon;
and all the firstborn of cattle.

Jer 37:16 When Jeremiah was entered into the dungeon,
and into the cabins,
and Jeremiah had remained there many days;

Jer 38:6 Then took they Jeremiah,
and cast him into the dungeon of Malchiah the son of Hammelech,
that was in the court of the prison:
and they let down Jeremiah with cords.
And in the dungeon there was no water, but mire:
so Jeremiah sunk in the mire.

Jer 38:7 Now when Ebedmelech the Ethiopian,
one of the eunuchs which was in the king’s house,
heard that they had put Jeremiah in the dungeon;
the king then sitting in the gate of Benjamin;
8. Ebedmelech went forth out of the king’s house,
and spake to the king, saying,

Jer 38:9 My lord the king, these men have done evil in all that
they have done to Jeremiah the prophet,
whom they have cast into the dungeon;
and he is like to die for hunger in the place where he is:
for there is no more bread in the city.

Jer 38:10 Then the king commanded Ebedmelech the Ethiopian, saying,
Take from hence thirty men with thee,
and take up Jeremiah the prophet out of the dungeon,
before he die.

Jer 38:11 So Ebedmelech took the men with him,
and went into the house of the king under the treasury,
and took thence old cast clouts and old rotten rags,
and let them down by cords into the dungeon to Jeremiah.

Jer 38:13 So they drew up Jeremiah with cords,
and took him up out of the dungeon:
and Jeremiah remained in the court of the prison.

Lam 3:53 They have cut off my life in the dungeon,
and cast a stone upon me.

Lam 3:55 I called upon thy name, O LORD,
out of the low dungeon.

About David Mathi Raj Samuel
I was engaged in the computer field since 1977, particularly in Documentation, Desktop Publishing & Training field since 1986. The design work provided me creative satisfaction and motivated me to look for more challenging activities. I was having a taste for Technical Writing. Presently, My SME (Subject-Matter Expert) is "The Holy Bible (KJV)" and publishing the "Subject" from the Holy Bible only. I am 69 years old now and in HIS mercy. 2022, I was admitted in the hospital due to nervous attack and bed-ridden. In the Hospital they did all the tests and gave up and said it can't be cured. Due to circumstances I was in a Home for Elders in Gurugram, India for 18 months with a 24X7 attendent. I prayed to God YeHoVaH to give me death or life to live to HIS glory. My prayers were heard, I was given life. I came out walking from the Home and witnessing the work of God every day. I am able to move alone now, Weakness and the pain in the body remains. From June 2024 onwards I returned to my routine and reading Holy Bible, Preparing daily Bible understanding , as I did earlier but with two fingers in Android and Notebook. Watering the plants, making kitchen compost, repotting the plants with fertilizer, manures, cow dung; bathing and dressing myself but buttoning is not possible. Pray for everyone that lives in my physical condition to be strengthened. YeHoVaH be pleased.
