I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “your children”.

Exo 12:26 And it shall come to pass,
when your children shall say unto you,
What mean ye by this service?

Exo 22:24 And my wrath shall wax hot,
and I will kill you with the sword;
and your wives shall be widows,
and your children fatherless.

Lev 25:46 And ye shall take them as an inheritance
for your children after you,
to inherit them for a possession;
they shall be your bondmen for ever:
but over your brethren the children of Israel,
ye shall not rule one over another with rigour.

Lev 26:22 I will also send wild beasts among you,
which shall rob you of your children,
and destroy your cattle,
and make you few in number;
and your high ways shall be desolate.

Num 14:33 And your children shall wander
in the wilderness forty years,
and bear your whoredoms,
until your carcases be wasted in the wilderness.

Deu 1:39 Moreover your little ones,
which ye said should be a prey,
and your children,
which in that day had no knowledge
between good and evil,
they shall go in thither,
and unto them will I give it,
and they shall possess it.

Deu 11:2 And know ye this day:
for I speak not with your children
which have not known,
and which have not seen the chastisement of the LORD your God,
his greatness,
his mighty hand,
and his stretched out arm,

Deu 11:19 And ye shall teach them your children,
speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house,
and when thou walkest by the way,
when thou liest down,
and when thou risest up.

Deu 11:21 That your days may be multiplied,
and the days of your children,
in the land which the LORD sware
unto your fathers to give them,
as the days of heaven upon the earth.

Deu 29:22 So that the generation to come of your children
that shall rise up after you,
and the stranger that shall come from a far land, shall say,
when they see the plagues of that land,
and the sicknesses which the LORD hath laid upon it;
29:23  And that the whole land thereof  is brimstone,
and salt,  and burning,
that it is not sown, nor beareth,
nor any grass groweth therein,
like the overthrow of Sodom, and Gomorrah,
Admah, and Zeboim, which the LORD overthrew
in his anger, and in his wrath:
29:24 Even all nations shall say,
Wherefore hath the LORD done thus unto this land?
what  meaneth the heat of this great anger?

Set your hearts unto all the words
which I testify among you this day,

that when your children ask
their fathers in time to come, saying,
What mean ye by these stones?

their fathers in time to come, saying,
What mean these stones?

Israel came over this Jordan on dry land.

Jos 22:24 And if we have not rather done it for fear of this thing, saying,
In time to come your children might speak unto our children,
saying, What have ye to do with the LORD God of Israel?

Jos 22:25 For the LORD hath made Jordan a border between us and you,
ye children of Reuben and children of Gad;
ye have no part in the LORD:
so shall your children make our children cease
from fearing the LORD.

Jos 22:27 But that it may be a witness between us, and you,
and our generations after us,
that we might do the service of the LORD
before him with our burnt offerings,
and with our sacrifices,
and with our peace offerings;
that your children may not say
to our children in time to come,
Ye have no part in the LORD.

1Ki 9:6 But if ye shall at all turn from following me,
ye or your children,
and will not keep my commandments
and my statutes which I have set before you,
but go and serve other gods,
and worship them:
9:7 Then will I cut off Israel out of the land
which I have given them;
and this house, which I have hallowed for my name,
will I cast out of my sight;
and Israel shall be a proverb
and a byword among all people:
9:8 And at this house,  which is high,
every one that passeth by it shall be astonished,
and shall hiss;
and they shall say,
Why hath the LORD done thus unto this land, and to this house?

1Ch 28:8 Now therefore in the sight of all Israel
the congregation of the LORD,
and in the audience of our God,
keep and seek for all the commandments of the LORD your God:
that ye may possess this good land,
and leave it for an inheritance
for your children after you for ever.

2Ch 30:9 For if ye turn again unto the LORD,
your brethren and your children shall find compassion

so that they shall come again into this land:
for the LORD your God is gracious and merciful,
and will not turn away his face from you,
if ye return unto him.

Ezr 9:12 Now therefore give not your daughters unto their sons,

and leave it for an inheritance to your children for ever.

all ye inhabitants of the land.
Hath this been in your days,
or even in the days of your fathers?

and let your children tell their children,
and their children another generation.

and that which the locust hath left hath the cankerworm eaten;
and that which the cankerworm hath left hath the caterpiller eaten.

which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

by whom do your children cast them out?

Daughters of Jerusalem,
weep not for me,

and to your children,
and to all that are afar off,

and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband:

but bring them up in the nurture
and admonition of the Lord.

I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “good tidings”. In the Tamil translation, this subject ‘good tidings’ translated from Hebrew as ‘Gospel’ – (Suvishesham in Tamil)

2Sa 4:10 When one told me, saying, Behold, Saul is dead,
thinking to have brought good tidings,
I took hold of him,
and slew him in Ziklag, who thought
that I would have given him
a reward for his tidings:

2Sa 18:27 And the watchman said, Me thinketh
the running of the foremost is like
the running of Ahimaaz the son of Zadok.
And the king said, He is a good man,
and cometh with good tidings.

1Ki 1:42 And while he yet spake, behold,
Jonathan the son of Abiathar the priest came:
and Adonijah said unto him, Come in;
for thou art a valiant man,
and bringest good tidings.

2Ki 7:9 Then they said one to another, We do not well:
this day is a day of good tidings,
and we hold our peace:
if we tarry till the morning light,
some mischief will come upon us:
now therefore come,
that we may go and tell the king’s household.

Isa 40:9 O Zion, that bringest good tidings,
get thee up into the high mountain;
O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings,
lift up thy voice with strength;
lift it up, be not afraid;
say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God!

Isa 41:27 The first shall say to Zion, Behold, behold them:
and I will give to Jerusalem one that bringeth good tidings.

Isa 52:7 How beautiful upon the mountains are
the feet of him that bringeth good tidings,
that publisheth peace;
that bringeth good tidings of good,
that publisheth salvation;
that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!

Isa 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me;
because the LORD hath anointed me
to preach good tidings unto the meek;
he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

Nah 1:15 Behold upon the mountains
the feet of him that bringeth good tidings,
that publisheth peace!
O Judah, keep thy solemn feasts, perform thy vows:
for the wicked shall no more pass through thee;
he is utterly cut off.

Luk 2:10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not:
for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy,
which shall be to all people.

1Th 3:6 But now when Timotheus came from you unto us,
and brought us good tidings of your faith and charity,
and that ye have good remembrance of us always,
desiring greatly to see us,
as we also to see you:

we were comforted over you
in all our affliction and distress by your faith:
8. For now we live,
if ye stand fast in the Lord.

I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “this house”.

Gen 39:9 There is none greater in this house than I;
neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee,
because thou art his wife:
how then can I do this great wickedness,
and sin against God?

Gen 40:14 But think on me when it shall be well with thee,
and shew kindness, I pray thee, unto me,
and make mention of me unto Pharaoh,
and bring me out of this house:

1Ki 6:12 Concerning this house which thou art in building,
if thou wilt walk in my statutes,
and execute my judgments,
and keep all my commandments to walk in them;
then will I perform my word with thee,
which I spake unto David thy father:

1Ki 8:27 But will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold,
the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee;
how much less this house that I have builded?

1Ki 8:29 That thine eyes may be open toward this house night and day,
even toward the place of which thou hast said,
My name shall be there:
that thou mayest hearken unto the prayer
which thy servant shall make toward this place.

1Ki 8:31 If any man trespass against his neighbour,
and an oath be laid upon him to cause him to swear,
and the oath come before thine altar in this house:

1Ki 8:33 When thy people Israel be smitten down before the enemy,
because they have sinned against thee,
and shall turn again to thee,
and confess thy name,
and pray,
and make supplication unto thee in this house:

1Ki 8:38 What prayer and supplication soever be made by any man,
or by all thy people Israel,
which shall know every man the plague of his own heart,
and spread forth his hands toward this house:

1Ki 8:42 (For they shall hear of thy great name,
and of thy strong hand,
and of thy stretched out arm;
when he shall come and pray toward this house;

1Ki 8:43 Hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place,
and do according to all that the stranger calleth to thee for:
that all people of the earth may know thy name,
to fear thee, as do thy people Israel;
and that they may know that this house,
which I have builded, is called by thy name.

1Ki 9:3 And the LORD said unto him,
I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication,
that thou hast made before me:
I have hallowed this house,
which thou hast built,
to put my name there for ever;
and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.

1Ki 9:7 Then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them;
and this house, which I have hallowed for my name,
will I cast out of my sight;
and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people:

1Ki 9:8 And at this house, which is high,
every one that passeth by it shall be astonished,
and shall hiss;
and they shall say,
Why hath the LORD done thus unto this land, and to this house?

2Ki 21:7 And he set a graven image of the grove that he had made in the house,
of which the LORD said to David,
and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem,
which I have chosen out of all tribes of Israel,
will I put my name for ever:

2Ch 6:18 But will God in very deed dwell with men on the earth?
behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee;
how much less this house which I have built!

2Ch 6:20 That thine eyes may be open upon this house day and night,
upon the place whereof thou hast said
that thou wouldest put thy name there;
to hearken unto the prayer
which thy servant prayeth toward this place.

2Ch 6:22 If a man sin against his neighbour,
and an oath be laid upon him to make him swear,
and the oath come before thine altar in this house;

2Ch 6:24 And if thy people Israel be put to the worse before the enemy,
because they have sinned against thee;
and shall return and confess thy name,
and pray and make supplication before thee in this house;

2Ch 6:29 Then what prayer or
what supplication soever shall be made of any man,
or of all thy people Israel,
when every one shall know his own sore and his own grief,
and shall spread forth his hands in this house:

2Ch 6:32 Moreover concerning the stranger,
which is not of thy people Israel,
but is come from a far country for thy great name’s sake,
and thy mighty hand,
and thy stretched out arm;
if they come and pray in this house;

2Ch 6:33 Then hear thou from the heavens, even from thy dwelling place,
and do according to all that the stranger calleth to thee for;
that all people of the earth may know thy name,
and fear thee, as doth thy people Israel,
and may know that this house
which I have built is called by thy name.

2Ch 7:16 For now have I chosen and sanctified this house,
that my name may be there for ever:
and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.

2Ch 7:20 Then will I pluck them up
by the roots out of my land which I have given them;
and this house, which I have sanctified for my name,
will I cast out of my sight,
and will make it to be a proverb
and a byword among all nations.

2Ch 7:21 And this house, which is high,
shall be an astonishment to every one that passeth by it;
so that he shall say,
Why hath the LORD done thus unto this land, and unto this house?

2Ch 20:9 If, when evil cometh upon us, as the sword, judgment,
or pestilence,
or famine,
we stand before this house,
and in thy presence,
(for thy name is in this house,)
and cry unto thee in our affliction,
then thou wilt hear and help.

2Ch 33:7 And he set a carved image,
the idol which he had made,
in the house of God,
of which God had said to David and to Solomon his son,
In this house, and in Jerusalem,
which I have chosen before all the tribes of Israel,
will I put my name for ever:

Ezr 3:12 But many of the priests and Levites and chief of the fathers,
who were ancient men,
that had seen the first house,
when the foundation of this house was laid before their eyes,
wept with a loud voice;
and many shouted aloud for joy:

Ezr 5:3 At the same time came to them Tatnai,
governor on this side the river,
and Shetharboznai,
and their companions,
and said thus unto them,
Who hath commanded you to build this house,
and to make up this wall?

Ezr 5:9 Then asked we those elders,
and said unto them thus,
Who commanded you to build this house,
and to make up these walls?

Ezr 5:12 But after that our fathers had provoked the God of heaven unto wrath,
he gave them into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar
the king of Babylon, the Chaldean,
who destroyed this house,
and carried the people away into Babylon.

Ezr 5:13 But in the first year of Cyrus the king of Babylon
the same king Cyrus made a decree
to build this house of God.

Ezr 5:17 Now therefore, if it seem good to the king,
let there be search made in the king’s treasure house,
which is there at Babylon, whether it be so,
that a decree was made of Cyrus the king
to build this house of God at Jerusalem,
and let the king send his pleasure to us concerning this matter.

Ezr 6:7 Let the work of this house of God alone;
let the governor of the Jews
and the elders of the Jews
build this house of God in his place.

Ezr 6:8 Moreover I make a decree what ye shall do
to the elders of these Jews
for the building of this house of God:
that of the king’s goods,
even of the tribute beyond the river,
forthwith expenses be given unto these men,
that they be not hindered.

Ezr 6:12 And the God that hath caused his name
to dwell there destroy all kings and people,
that shall put to their hand to alter
and to destroy this house of God which is at Jerusalem.
I Darius have made a decree;
let it be done with speed.

Ezr 6:15 And this house was finished
on the third day of the month Adar,
which was in the sixth year of the reign of Darius the king.

Ezr 6:16 And the children of Israel, the priests,
and the Levites,
and the rest of the children of the captivity,
kept the dedication of this house of God with joy,

Ezr 6:17 And offered at the dedication of this house of God
an hundred bullocks,
two hundred rams,
four hundred lambs;
and for a sin offering for all Israel,
twelve he goats,
according to the number of the tribes of Israel.

Ezr 7:24 Also we certify you, that touching any of the priests
and Levites, singers, porters, Nethinims,
or ministers of this house of God,
it shall not be lawful to impose toll,
tribute, or custom, upon them.

Jer 7:10 And come and stand before me in this house,
which is called by my name, and say,
We are delivered to do all these abominations?

Jer 7:11 Is this house, which is called by my name,
become a den of robbers in your eyes?
Behold, even I have seen it, saith the LORD.

Jer 7:14 Therefore will I do unto this house,
which is called by my name,
wherein ye trust,
and unto the place which I gave to you and to your fathers,
as I have done to Shiloh.

Jer 22:4 For if ye do this thing indeed, then shall there enter in
by the gates of this house
kings sitting upon the throne of David,
riding in chariots and on horses,
he, and his servants,
and his people.

Jer 22:5 But if ye will not hear these words,
I swear by myself, saith the LORD,
that this house shall become a desolation.

Jer 26:6 Then will I make this house like Shiloh,
and will make this city a curse to all the nations of the earth.

Jer 26:9 Why hast thou prophesied in the name of the LORD, saying,
This house shall be like Shiloh,
and this city shall be desolate without an inhabitant?
And all the people were gathered against Jeremiah in the house of the LORD.

Jer 26:12 Then spake Jeremiah unto
all the princes and to all the people, saying,
The LORD sent me to prophesy against this house
and against this city all the words that ye have heard.

Hag 1:4 Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your cieled houses,
and this house lie waste?

Hag 2:3 Who is left among you that saw this house in her first glory?
and how do ye see it now?
is it not in your eyes in comparison of it as nothing?

Hag 2:7 And I will shake all nations,
and the desire of all nations shall come:
and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts.

Zec 4:9 The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house;
his hands shall also finish it;
and thou shalt know that
the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you.

Luk 10:5 And into whatsoever house ye enter,
first say, Peace be to this house.

Luk 19:9 And Jesus said unto him,
This day is salvation come to this house,
forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.
