I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “idol….” from the New Testament.
Act 7:41 And they made a calf in those days,
and offered sacrifice unto the idol,
and rejoiced in the works of their own hands.
Act 15:20 But that we write unto them,
that they abstain from pollutions of idols,
and from fornication,
and from things strangled,
and from blood.
Act 15:29 That ye abstain from meats offered to idols,
and from blood,
and from things strangled,
and from fornication:
from which if ye keep yourselves,
ye shall do well.
Fare ye well.
Act 17:16 Now while Paul waited for them at Athens,
his spirit was stirred in him,
when he saw the city wholly given to idolatry.
Act 21:25 As touching the Gentiles which believe,
we have written and concluded that
they observe no such thing,
save only that they keep themselves
from things offered to idols,
and from blood,
and from strangled,
and from fornication.
Rom 2:22 Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery,
dost thou commit adultery?
thou that abhorrest idols,
dost thou commit sacrilege?

1Co 8:1 Now as touching things offered unto idols,
we know that we all have knowledge.

that are offered in sacrifice unto idols,
we know that an idol is nothing in the world,
and that there is none other God but one.
1Co 8:7 Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge:
for some with conscience of the idol
unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol;
and their conscience being weak is defiled.
1Co 8:10 For if any man see thee
which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol‘s temple,
shall not the conscience of him which is weak
be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols;
11. And through thy knowledge
shall the weak brother perish,
for whom Christ died?
12. But when ye sin so against the brethren,
and wound their weak conscience,
ye sin against Christ.
1Co 10:7 Neither be ye idolaters,
as were some of them;
as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink,
and rose up to play.
1Co 10:14 Wherefore, my dearly beloved,
flee from idolatry.
1Co 10:19 What say I then?
that the idol is any thing,
or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing?
1Co 10:28 But if any man say unto you,
This is offered in sacrifice unto idols,
eat not for his sake that shewed it,
and for conscience sake:
for the earth is the Lord’s,
and the fulness thereof:
29. Conscience,
I say, not thine own, but of the other:
for why is my liberty judged
