I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “invite”.

1Sa 9:24 And the cook took up the shoulder,
and that which was upon it,
and set it before Saul.
And Samuel said, Behold that which is left!
set it before thee, and eat:
for unto this time hath it been kept for thee since I said,
I have invited the people.
So Saul did eat with Samuel that day.

2Sa 13:23 And it came to pass after two full years,
that Absalom had sheepshearers in Baalhazor,
which is beside Ephraim:
and Absalom invited all the king’s sons.

Est 5:12 Haman said moreover, Yea,
Esther the queen did let no man come in
with the king unto the banquet
that she had prepared but myself;
and to morrow am I invited
unto her also with the king.
