I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “we ask”.

Ezr 5:10 We asked their names also,
to certify thee,
that we might write the names of the men
that were the chief of them.

Eph 3:20 Now unto him that is able
to do exceeding abundantly
above all that we ask or think,
according to the power that worketh in us,

1Jo 3:22 And whatsoever we ask,
we receive of him,
because we keep his commandments,
and do those things
that are pleasing in his sight.

1Jo 5:14 And this is the confidence
that we have in him,
that, if we ask any thing
according to his will,
he heareth us:

1Jo 5:15 And if we know that he hear us,
whatsoever we ask,
we know that we have the petitions
that we desired of him.
