I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “possession”.

Gen 17:8 And I will give unto thee,
and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger,
all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession;
and I will be their God.

Gen 23:4 I am a stranger and a sojourner with you:
give me a possession of a buryingplace with you,
that I may bury my dead out of my sight.

Gen 23:9 That he may give me the cave of Machpelah,
which he hath, which is in the end of his field;
for as much money as it is worth he shall give it me
