But Peter said, Ananias,
why hath Satan filled thine heart
to lie to the Holy Ghost,
and to keep back

I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “lie” from the New Testament.

Joh 5:6 When Jesus saw him lie,
and knew that he had been now a long time in that case,
he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?

Joh 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil,
and the lusts of your father ye will do.
He was a murderer from the beginning,
and abode not in the truth,
because there is no truth in him.
When he speaketh a lie,
he speaketh of his own:
for he is a liar,
and the father of it.

Joh 20:6 Then cometh Simon Peter following him,
and went into the sepulchre,
and seeth the linen clothes lie,

7. And the napkin,
that was about his head,
not lying with the linen clothes,
but wrapped together in a place by itself.

Act 5:3 But Peter said, Ananias,
why hath Satan filled thine heart
to lie to the Holy Ghost,
and to keep back part of the price of the land?

Act 5:4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own?
and after it was sold,
was it not in thine own power?
why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart?
thou hast not lied unto men,
but unto God.

Act 23:21 But do not thou yield unto them:
for there lie in wait for him of them
more than forty men,
which have bound themselves with an oath,
that they will neither eat nor drink
till they have killed him:
and now are they ready, looking for a promise from thee.

Rom 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie,
and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator,
who is blessed for ever. Amen.

Rom 3:7 For if the truth of God hath more abounded
through my lie unto his glory;
why yet am I also judged as a sinner?

Rom 9:1 I say the truth in Christ,
I lie not, my conscience also

and an apostle,
(I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;)
a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.

1Ti 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy;
having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

3. Forbidding to marry,
and commanding to abstain from meats,
which God hath created to be received
with thanksgiving of them
which believe and know the truth.

which God, that cannot lie,
promised before the world began;

3. But hath in due times manifested
his word through preaching,
which is committed unto me according
to the commandment of God our Saviour;

Heb 6:18 That by two immutable things,
in which it was impossible for God to lie,
we might have a strong consolation,
who have fled for refuge
to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

19. Which  hope we have as an anchor of the soul,
both sure and stedfast,
and which entereth into that within the veil;
20. Whither the forerunner is for us entered,
even Jesus, made an high priest
for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

Jam 3:14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts,
glory not,
and lie not against the truth.

1Jo 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with him,
and walk in darkness, we lie,
and do not the truth:

7. But if we walk in the light,
as he is in the light,
we have fellowship one with another,
and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son
cleanseth us from all sin.

1Jo 2:21 I have not written unto you
because ye know not the truth,
but because ye know it,
and that no lie is of the truth.

1Jo 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you,
and ye need not that any man teach you:
but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things,
and is truth,
and is no lie,
and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

Rev 3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan,
which say they are Jews,
and are not, but do lie; behold,
I will make them to come and worship before thy feet,
and to know that I have loved thee.

Rev 11:8 And their dead bodies shall lie
in the street of the great city,
which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt,
where also our Lord was crucified.

Rev 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it
any thing that defileth,
neither whatsoever worketh abomination,
or maketh a lie:
but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

Rev 22:15 For without are dogs,
and sorcerers,
and whoremongers,
and murderers,
and idolaters,
and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
