I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “destroyer”.

Exodus 12:23 For the LORD will pass through
to smite the Egyptians;
and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel,
and on the two side posts,
the LORD will pass over the door,
and will not suffer the destroyer to come in
unto your houses to smite you.

Judges 16:24 And when the people saw him,
they praised their god:
for they said, Our god hath delivered
into our hands our enemy,
and the destroyer of our country,
which slew many of us.

Job 15:21 A dreadful sound is in his ears:
in prosperity the destroyer shall come upon him.

Job 33:22 Yea, his soul draweth near unto the grave,
and his life to the destroyers.
