I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “stubborn”.

Deuteronomy 9:27 Remember thy servants,
Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob;
look not unto the stubbornness of this people,
nor to their wickedness,
nor to their sin:

Deuteronomy 21:18 If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son,
which will not obey the voice of his father,
or the voice of his mother,
and that, when they have chastened him,
will not hearken unto them:

Deuteronomy 21:20 And they shall say unto the elders of his city,
This our son is stubborn and rebellious,
he will not obey our voice;
he is a glutton,
and a drunkard.

Judges 2:19 And it came to pass,
when the judge was dead,
that they returned,
and corrupted themselves more than their fathers,
in following other gods to serve them,
and to bow down unto them;
