I have seen thine adulteries,
and thy neighings, the lewdness of thy whoredom,
and thine abominations on the hills in the fields.
Woe unto thee, O Jerusalem!
wilt thou not be made clean?
when shall it once be? – Jeremiah 13:27

I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “clean” from ‘Prophets’ of the Old Testament.

put away the evil of your doings
from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;

the earth is clean dissolved,
the earth is moved exceedingly.
Isaiah 28:8 For all tables are full of vomit and filthiness,
so that there is no place clean.

that ear the ground shall eat clean provender,
which hath been winnowed with the shovel and with the fan.

touch no unclean thing;
go ye out of the midst of her;
be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the LORD.
Isaiah 66:20 And they shall bring all your brethren
for an offering unto the LORD out of all nations upon horses,
and in chariots,
and in litters,
and upon mules,
and upon swift beasts,
to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the LORD,
as the children of Israel bring an offering
in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.
Jeremiah 4:11 At that time shall it be said to this people and to Jerusalem,
A dry wind of the high places in the wilderness
toward the daughter of my people,
not to fan, nor to cleanse,

and thy neighings, the lewdness of thy whoredom,
and thine abominations on the hills in the fields.

and I am profaned among them.

and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness,
and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

I will also cause you to dwell in the cities,
and the wastes shall be builded.

so shall they be my people,
and I will be their God.
