I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “prison” from the New Testament.

and put them in the common prison.

Acts 5:19 But the angel of the Lord by night
opened the prison doors,
and brought them forth, and said,

Acts 5:21 And when they heard that,
they entered into the temple early in the morning,
and taught. But the high priest came,
and they that were with him,
and called the council together,
and all the senate of the children of Israel,
and sent to the prison to have them brought.

Acts 5:22 But when the officers came,
and found them not in the prison,
they returned, and told,

Acts 5:23 Saying, The prison truly found we shut with all safety,
and the keepers standing without before the doors:
but when we had opened,
we found no man within.

Acts 5:25 Then came one and told them, saying, Behold,
the men whom ye put in prison are standing in the temple,
and teaching the people.

entering into every house,
and haling men and women committed them to prison.

he put him in prison, and delivered him
to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him;
intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.

but prayer was made without ceasing
of the church unto God for him.

Acts 12:6 And when Herod would have brought him forth,
the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers,
bound with two chains:
and the keepers before the door kept the prison.

Acts 12:7 And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him,
and a light shined in the prison:
and he smote Peter on the side,
and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly.
And his chains fell off from his hands.

Acts 12:17 But he, beckoning unto them
with the hand to hold their peace,
declared unto them how the Lord
had brought him out of the prison.
And he said, Go shew these things unto James,
and to the brethren. And he departed,
and went into another place.

Acts 16:23 And when they had laid many stripes upon them,
they cast them into prison,
charging the jailor to keep them safely:

Acts 16:24 Who, having received such a charge,
thrust them into the inner prison,
and made their feet fast in the stocks.

Acts 16:25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed,
and sang praises unto God:
and the prisoners heard them.

Acts 16:26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake,
so that the foundations of the prison were shaken:
and immediately all the doors were opened,
and every one’s bands were loosed.

and seeing the prison doors open,
he drew out his sword,
and would have killed himself,

The magistrates have sent to let you go:
now therefore depart, and go in peace.

yet was I delivered prisoner from Jerusalem
into the hands of the Romans.

About David Mathi Raj Samuel
I was engaged in the computer field since 1977, particularly in Documentation, Desktop Publishing & Training field since 1986. The design work provided me creative satisfaction and motivated me to look for more challenging activities. I was having a taste for Technical Writing. Presently, My SME (Subject-Matter Expert) is "The Holy Bible (KJV)" and publishing the "Subject" from the Holy Bible only. I am 69 years old now and in HIS mercy. 2022, I was admitted in the hospital due to nervous attack and bed-ridden. In the Hospital they did all the tests and gave up and said it can't be cured. Due to circumstances I was in a Home for Elders in Gurugram, India for 18 months with a 24X7 attendent. I prayed to God YeHoVaH to give me death or life to live to HIS glory. My prayers were heard, I was given life. I came out walking from the Home and witnessing the work of God every day. I am able to move alone now, Weakness and the pain in the body remains. From June 2024 onwards I returned to my routine and reading Holy Bible, Preparing daily Bible understanding , as I did earlier but with two fingers in Android and Notebook. Watering the plants, making kitchen compost, repotting the plants with fertilizer, manures, cow dung; bathing and dressing myself but buttoning is not possible. Pray for everyone that lives in my physical condition to be strengthened. YeHoVaH be pleased.
