I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “discern…ed…ing…”.

Genesis 27:23 And he discerned him not,
because his hands were hairy,
as his brother Esau’s hands:
so he blessed him.

Genesis 31:32 With whomsoever thou findest thy gods,
let him not live:
before our brethren discern thou
what is thine with me,
and take it to thee.
For Jacob knew not that Rachel had stolen them.

Genesis 38:25 When she was brought forth,
she sent to her father in law, saying,
By the man, whose these are, am I with child:
and she said, Discern, I pray thee,
whose are these, the signet,
and bracelets, and staff.

2 Samuel 14:17 Then thine handmaid said,
The word of my lord the king shall now be comfortable:
