I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “vexed”.

Num 20:15 How our fathers went down into Egypt,
and we have dwelt in Egypt a long time;
and the Egyptians vexed us,
and our fathers:

Jdg 2:18 And when the LORD raised them up judges,
then the LORD was with the judge,
and delivered them out of the hand of their enemies
all the days of the judge:
for it repented the LORD because of their groanings
by reason of them that oppressed them and vexed them.
