I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “gave” from the ‘Gospels’ in the New Testament (KJV).
Matthew 8:18 Now when Jesus saw great multitudes about him,
he gave commandment to depart unto the other side.
Matthew 10:1 And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples,
he gave them power against unclean spirits,
to cast them out,
and to heal all manner of sickness
and all manner of disease.

He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus.
