‘fourth generation’….. mentioned in the Holy Bible (KJV)

Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them,
nor serve them:
for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God,
visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children
unto the third and fourth generation of them
that hate me, – Deu 5:9

I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “fourth generation”.

Gen 15:16 But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again:
for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full.

Exo 20:5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them:
for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God,
visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children
unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

Exo 34:7 Keeping mercy for thousands,
forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin,
and that will by no means clear the guilty;
visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children,
and upon the children’s children,
unto the third and to the fourth generation.

Num 14:18 The LORD is longsuffering,
and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression,
and by no means clearing the guilty,
visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children
unto the third and fourth generation.

2Ki 10:30 And the LORD said unto Jehu,
