I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “one hour”.
Daniel 4:19 Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar,
was astonied for one hour,
and his thoughts troubled him.
The king spake, and said, Belteshazzar, let not the dream,
or the interpretation thereof, trouble thee.
Belteshazzar answered and said, My lord,
the dream be to them that hate thee,
and the interpretation thereof to thine enemies.
Matthew 20:12 Saying, These last have wrought but one hour,
and thou hast made them equal unto us,
which have borne the burden and heat of the day.
Matthew 26:40 And he cometh unto the disciples,
and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter,
What, could ye not watch with me one hour?
Mark 14:37 And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping,
and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou?
couldest not thou watch one hour?
Luke 22:59 And about the space of one hour after another confidently affirmed,
saying, Of a truth this fellow also was with him:
for he is a Galilaean.
Revelation 17:12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings,
which have received no kingdom as yet;
but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
Revelation 18:10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying,
Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city!
for in one hour is thy judgment come.
Revelation 18:17 For in one hour so great riches is come to nought.
And every shipmaster,
and all the company in ships,
and sailors,
and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,
Revelation 18:19 And they cast dust on their heads,
and cried, weeping and wailing, saying,
Alas, alas that great city,
wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea
by reason of her costliness!
for in one hour is she made desolate.
