‘gray’ what? hairs?….. found only in Old Testament (KJV)

Now also when I am old and grayheaded,
O God, forsake me not;
until I have shewed thy strength
unto this generation,
and thy power
to every one that is to come. – Psa 71:18

I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “gray” found only in Old Testament.

Gen 42:38 And he said, My son shall not go down with you;
for his brother is dead, and he is left alone:
if mischief befall him by the way in the which ye go,
then shall ye bring down my gray hairs
with sorrow to the grave.

Gen 44:29 And if ye take this also from me,
and mischief befall him,
ye shall bring down my gray hairs
with sorrow to the grave.

Gen 44:31 It shall come to pass,
when he seeth that the lad is not with us,
that he will die:
and thy servants shall bring down the gray hairs of thy servant
our father with sorrow to the grave.

Deu 32:25 The sword without, and terror within,
shall destroy both the young man and the virgin,
the suckling also with the man of gray hairs.

1Sa 12:2 And now, behold, the king walketh before you:
and I am old and grayheaded;
and, behold, my sons are with you:
and I have walked before you
from my childhood unto this day.

Job 15:10 With us are both the grayheaded and very aged men,
much elder than thy father.
