I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “bite”.

Genesis 49:17 Dan shall be a serpent by the way,
an adder in the path,
that biteth the horse heels,
so that his rider shall fall backward.

Proverbs 23:31 Look not thou upon the wine
when it is red,
when it giveth his colour in the cup,
when it moveth itself aright.

Proverbs 23:32 At the last it biteth like a serpent,
and stingeth like an adder.

Ecclesiastes 10:8 He that diggeth a pit shall fall into it;
and whoso breaketh an hedge,
a serpent shall bite him.

Ecclesiastes 10:11 Surely the serpent will bite
without enchantment;
