I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “gain”.
Judges 5:19 The kings came and fought,
then fought the kings of Canaan in Taanach
by the waters of Megiddo;
they took no gain of money.
Job 22:3 Is it any pleasure to the Almighty,
that thou art righteous?
or is it gain to him,
that thou makest thy ways perfect?
Job 27:8 For what is the hope of the hypocrite,
though he hath gained,
when God taketh away his soul?
Proverbs 1:19 So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain;
which taketh away the life of the owners thereof.
Proverbs 3:14 For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver,
and the gain thereof than fine gold.
