I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “recompence”.

Deuteronomy 32:35 To me belongeth vengeance, and recompence;
their foot shall slide in due time:
for the day of their calamity is at hand,
and the things that shall come upon them make haste.

Job 15:31 Let not him that is deceived trust in vanity:
for vanity shall be his recompence.
