I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “Root” .
Deuteronomy 29:18 Lest there should be among you man,
or woman,
or family,
or tribe,
whose heart turneth away this day from the LORD our God,
to go and serve the gods of these nations;
lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood;
Deuteronomy 29:28 And the LORD rooted them out of their land in anger,
in wrath,
in great indignation,
cast them into another land, as it is this day.
Judges 5:14 Out of Ephraim was there a root of them against Amalek;
after thee, Benjamin, among thy people;
out of Machir came down governors,
out of Zebulun they that handle the pen of the writer.
1 Kings 14:15 For the LORD shall smite Israel,
as a reed is shaken in the water,
he shall root up Israel out of this good land,
which he gave to their fathers,
shall scatter them beyond the river,
because they have made their groves, provoking the LORD to anger.
2 Kings 19:30 And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah
