I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “bag”.
Deuteronomy 25:13 Thou shalt not have in thy bag divers weights,
a great and a small.
1 Samuel 17:40 And he took his staff in his hand,
and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook,
and put them in a shepherd’s bag which he had, even in a scrip;
and his sling was in his hand:
and he drew near to the Philistine.
1 Samuel 17:49 And David put his hand in his bag,
and took thence a stone, and slang it,
and smote the Philistine in his forehead,
that the stone sunk into his forehead;
and he fell upon his face to the earth.
2 Kings 5:23 And Naaman said, Be content, take two talents.
And he urged him,
and bound two talents of silver in two bags,
with two changes of garments,
and laid them upon two of his servants;
and they bare them before him.
2 Kings 12:10 And it was so, when they saw that there was much money in the chest,
that the king’s scribe and the high priest came up,
and they put up in bags,
and told the money that was found in the house of the LORD.
Job 14:17 My transgression is sealed up in a bag,
and thou sewest up mine iniquity.
Proverbs 7:20 He hath taken a bag of money with him,
and will come home at the day appointed.
Proverbs 16:11 A just weight and balance are the LORD’s:
all the weights of the bag are his work.
Isaiah 46:6 They lavish gold out of the bag,
and weigh silver in the balance,
and hire a goldsmith;
and he maketh it a god:
they fall down, yea, they worship.
Micah 6:11 Shall I count them pure with the wicked balances,
and with the bag of deceitful weights?
Haggai 1:6 Ye have sown much, and bring in little;
ye eat, but ye have not enough;
ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink;
ye clothe you, but there is none warm;
and he that earneth wages
earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes.
Luke 12:33 Sell that ye have,
and give alms;
provide yourselves bags which wax not old,
a treasure in the heavens that faileth not,
where no thief approacheth,
neither moth corrupteth.
John 12:6 This he said, not that he cared for the poor;
but because he was a thief,
and had the bag,
and bare what was put therein.
John 13:29 For some of them thought,
because Judas had the bag,
that Jesus had said unto him,
Buy those things that we have need of against the feast;
or, that he should give something to the poor.
