I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “still”from the New Testament.
Matthew 20:32 And Jesus stood still, and called them,
and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you?
Mark 4:39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind,
and said unto the sea, Peace, be still.
And the wind ceased,
and there was a great calm.
Mark 10:49 And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called.
And they call the blind man, saying unto him,
Be of good comfort, rise;
he calleth thee.
Luke 7:14 And he came and touched the bier:
and they that bare him stood still.
And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise.
John 7:9 When he had said these words unto them,
he abode still in Galilee.
John 11:6 When he had heard therefore that he was sick,
he abode two days still in the same place where he was.
John 11:20 Then Martha, as soon as she heard
that Jesus was coming, went and met him:
but Mary sat still in the house.
Acts 8:38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still:
and they went down both into the water,
both Philip and the eunuch;
and he baptized him.
Acts 15:34 Notwithstanding it pleased Silas to abide there still.
Acts 17:14 And then immediately the brethren sent away Paul
to go as it were to the sea:
but Silas and Timotheus abode there still.
Romans 11:23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in:
for God is able to graff them in again.
1 Timothy 1:3 As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus,
when I went into Macedonia,
that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,
Revelation 22:11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still:
and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still:
and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still:
and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
