I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “holes”.
1 Samuel 14:11 And both of them discovered themselves unto the garrison of the Philistines:
and the Philistines said, Behold, the Hebrews come forth
out of the holes where they had hid themselves.
Isaiah 2:19 And they shall go into the holes of the rocks,
and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD,
and for the glory of his majesty,
when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.
Isaiah 7:19 And they shall come, and shall rest all of them in the desolate valleys,
and in the holes of the rocks,
and upon all thorns,
and upon all bushes.
Isaiah 42:22 But this is a people robbed and spoiled;
they are all of them snared in holes,
and they are hid in prison houses:
they are for a prey, and none delivereth;
for a spoil, and none saith, Restore.
Jeremiah 16:16 Behold, I will send for many fishers, saith the LORD,
and they shall fish them;
and after will I send for many hunters,
and they shall hunt them from every mountain,
and from every hill,
and out of the holes of the rocks.
Micah 7:17 They shall lick the dust like a serpent,
they shall move out of their holes like worms of the earth:
they shall be afraid of the LORD our God,
and shall fear because of thee.
Nahum 2:12 The lion did tear in pieces enough for his whelps,
and strangled for his lionesses,
and filled his holes with prey,
and his dens with ravin.
Haggai 1:6 Ye have sown much, and bring in little;
ye eat, but ye have not enough;
ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink;
ye clothe you, but there is none warm;
and he that earneth wages earneth wages
to put it into a bag with holes.
Zechariah 14:12 And this shall be the plague
wherewith the LORD will smite all the people
that have fought against Jerusalem;
Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet,
and their eyes shall consume away in their holes,
and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.
Matthew 8:20 And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes,
and the birds of the air have nests;
but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.
Luke 9:58 And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes,
and birds of the air have nests;
but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.
