I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “confession”.

Joshua 7:19 And Joshua said unto Achan,
My son, give, I pray thee,
glory to the LORD God of Israel,
and make confession unto him;
and tell me now what thou hast done;
hide it not from me.

II Chronicles 30:22 And Hezekiah spake comfortably unto all the Levites
that taught the good knowledge of the LORD:
and they did eat throughout the feast seven days,
offering peace offerings,
and making confession to the LORD God of their fathers.

Ezra 10:11 Now therefore make confession
unto the LORD God of your fathers,
and do his pleasure:
and separate yourselves from the people of the land,
and from the strange wives.

Daniel 9:4 And I prayed unto the LORD my God,
and made my confession,
and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God,
keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him,
and to them that keep his commandments;

Epistle to the Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness;
and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

I Timothy 6:13 I give thee charge in the sight of God,
who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus,
who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession;
