Pastors – from the entire Holy Bible (KJV)

Surprisingly, only one book in old Testament and in an Epistle Paul the Apostle in the New Testament  “Pastors” mentioned !

I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “Pastors ” .

Jer 2:8 The priests said not, Where is the LORD?
and they that handle the law knew me not:
the pastors also transgressed against me,
and the prophets prophesied by Baal,
and walked after things that do not profit.

Jer 3:15 And I will give you pastors
according to mine heart,
which shall feed you
with knowledge and understanding.

Jer 10:21 For the pastors are become brutish,
and have not sought the LORD:
therefore they shall not prosper,
and all their flocks shall be scattered.

Jer 12:10 Many pastors have destroyed my vineyard,
they have trodden my portion under foot,
they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness.

Jer 17:16 As for me, I have not hastened
from being a pastor to follow thee:
neither have I desired the woeful day;
thou knowest:
that which came out of my lips was right before thee.

Jer 22:22 The wind shall eat up all thy pastors,
and thy lovers shall go into captivity:
surely then shalt thou be ashamed
and confounded for all thy wickedness.

Jer 23:1 Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter
the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD.

Jer 23:2 Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people;
Ye have scattered my flock,
and driven them away,
and have not visited them:
behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the LORD.

Eph 4:13 And he gave some, apostles;
and some, prophets;
and some, evangelists;
and some, pastors
and teachers;

4:14 That we  henceforth be no more children,
tossed to and fro,
and carried about with every wind of doctrine,
by the sleight of men,
and cunning craftiness,
whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
4:15 But speaking the truth in love,
may grow up into him in all things,
which is the head,  even Christ:
4:16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together
and compacted by that which every joint supplieth,
according to the effectual working in the measure of every part,
maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

But in 2 Timothy 3:5 – 8

2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness,
but denying the power thereof:
from such turn away.

2Ti 3:6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses,
and lead captive silly women laden with sins,
led away with divers lusts,

2Ti 3:7 Ever learning,
and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

2Ti 3:8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses,
so do these also resist the truth:
men of corrupt minds,
reprobate concerning the faith.
